Decorated for New Year’s Eve

Lisa Fidler-Orth and her husband thought their 22-day-old daughter should share in celebrating New Year’s Eve 2006. She looks festive while she enjoys nursing at Mom’s breast.

“Be prepared”? Yes, she is!

Agneta Romin and her son wear their Scout uniforms as she breastfeeds. She wrote on Facebook, “It’s perfect to breastfeed while you´re a scoutleader! The food is quick to fix!” That seems to me to be an excellent example of being prepared.

Love in action

Sarah Eliason Cline breastfeeds baby Charlotte at their home. Sarah wrote on Facebook, “If this isn’t love, I don’t know what is!” It’s a great example of love in action.

Showing love in two ways

Sheila Ruuskanen Neumann kisses one of her children while she breastfeeds another. In the caption for this picture on Facebook, Sheila wrote, “Me and my babies, so proud I had a photo shoot to capture these most wonderful memories forever.” Several people added comments there about the beauty of this picture. It’s a great depiction of motherly love.

Drying hair while feeding

Caitlin Young sent this picture of her drying her hair while nursing her daughter, Autumn (3 months old at the time of the picture). Caitlin wrote that this scene “is early morning getting ready to go out.” She added, “I never thought I would be drying my hair and breastfeeding simultaneously, but it really wasn’t that hard.”

Moms join to breastfeed in public at picnics

Kirstie Clarke tandem feeds during the Annual Breastfeeding In Public Spaces support event in the UK at Stroud. The sign below welcomed people to the event. I hope to post more pictures from this and similar picnics in the future.

It’s more fun when you share

Heather Armstrong provided this picture of her best friend in the unusual situation of having two children at one breast. Heather wrote that her friend was “nursing her three year old daughter,  who then invited my two year old son to ‘have some!’ and he dove right in!” Aren’t children great with their fun and spontaneity?
